High Risk of Rip Currents from Hurricane Danielle
The National Weather Service said area beaches, including Dewees, are at high risk of rip currents today from Hurricane Danielle.
The Category 2 storm may bring dangerous currents to the area into the first half of this week.
Tropical Storm Earl is nearing hurricane strength and is projected to swing closer to the Atlantic coast than Danielle. The dangerous current threat will likely continue through next weekend.
