Across from Ancient Dunes beach access path, this lovely beach house has 3 bedrooms plus a loft.
The first floor has an open, airy floor plan. The kitchen, dining room and family room with gas fireplace are all connected. The dining room has a two-story ceiling, with lookouts from the loft and master bedroom. Hardwood floors in the main living areas. The kitchen includes a center island with bar stools. The expandable dining table seats up to 10 people at a time.
Watch the sunrise from the deck and landing on the east side of the house and the sunset from a screened porch on the west side of the first floor. Both porches are large and offer tremendous outdoor living opportunities.
Two bedrooms — one with a queen bed and another with twin bunk beds offer sleeping room on the first floor. The two bedrooms share a bathroom located between them. Both have high ceilings and plenty of closet space. The loft is accessed by a ship’s style ladder, and can be used for guests, kids, relaxing with a good book, or setting up a jigsaw puzzle out of the main flow of traffic.
The private Master bedroom upstairs includes a walk-in closet and private bathroom.
It’s just a quick walk or golf cart ride to the beach, and the house is situated on a fresh water pond where the resident great egrets and wood storks flock to roost in the evenings. The house is not far from the community center, tennis courts and swimming pool. Golf cart parking and fishing equipment storage areas are under house.
There’s an outside shower for getting clean after enjoying the beach.
This house offers access to Dewees island, with its fabulous wildlife and private beach, at an incredibly low price.
All within easy reach of downtown Charleston.
Rental includes golf cart. Ferry rides cost $10/round trip/person. 8.5% local rental tax.
